Switching over
Munshi was built alongside RFC's own counter and kitchen, so every screen was tested in a real rush before it shipped. Staff moved over one area at a time: the counter first, then the kitchen tickets, then purchases and payroll.
Now
Orders, kitchen tickets, purchases, attendance and the day book all run in one place. The drawer is counted every night, supplier balances update themselves, and salaries come out of the attendance the staff already mark.
“We used to find out about a short drawer at the end of the month. Now we count it every night and know exactly where the money went. The menu report shows us which dishes to push and which ones we were only keeping out of habit. Wages come straight from the attendance staff already mark, and I can see in one place what customers owe us and what we owe our suppliers. The work is still the work, but I'm not chasing numbers anymore.”
